Years of frowning, smiling, prolonged exposure to the sun, eyebrow raising, and other factors can cause you to develop forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and lip lines. These also develop as a result of changes in the body brought on by aging. Fortunately you can reduce the wrinkles with a few remedies.
Olive oil is a brilliant natural moisturizer that leaves your skin well hydrated. You can get extra virgin olive oil and gently massage it into your forehead, lip lines and all areas which have wrinkles. You only need a few drops of oil to do this. Continue with this motion for at least 10 minutes. Do this twice a day. You can also add some drops of coconut oil to the mix to get better results since coconut oil is also a great natural moisturizer.
Aloe Vera and egg white
Aloe Vera and egg white are both rich in vitamin E, which is great for tightening up the skin. You can combine the two ingredients to make a paste which you can then apply to your forehead. Allow this paste to set it for roughly 15 minutes. Wash it off with some water after the time elapses. Repeat this process twice a day for a few weeks until you start to see positive results.
Botox and Dysport
If you want a quick fix you can try Botox or Dysport injections. These will definitely get the job done, however they’re costly. They cost roughly $400 per injection. You’ll need to get an injection every 3 to 6 months in order to maintain the effects, which can amount to a considerable amount of money if you need to get them frequently. You can find other injections whose effects can last up to a year such as Restylane, but they are more expensive. A single injection can cost up to $700. Be careful with this method because it may cause you to have an unnatural appearance and expressionless face. It doesn’t work well on everybody.
Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin E and C which are very important to maintain the health of your skin. Oranges, lemons, grapefruits, limes, etc. are all in the citrus family. Drinking plenty of citrus fruit juice can provide your body with the much needed vitamins to help you maintain smooth skin. You can extract the juice from these fruits and gently massage the wrinkled areas with it. Leave it to sit for about 10 minutes before washing off with some warm water. The pulp from citrus fruits is also good so you can make a paste from it if that’s better for you. You should do this at least once a day for a few weeks.
Makeup and lip plumper
Layering your make up the right way can cover up wrinkles on your forehead and lips. Ensure that you don’t apply the make up too thickly otherwise it may exaggerate the same wrinkles you’re trying to cover up. You can use lip plumper which will help to reduce the wrinkles around your lips and it makes your lips plumper. Continuous use of a lip plumper for about 3 weeks or more can produce a noticeable change. Many cosmetic companies make their own lip plumper and it’s pretty much up to you to decide which one suits your best. Don’t forget to read the ingredients of the product you choose just to be sure.
